3- Genecis Z.: Meaningful Words

Meaningful Words

I would argue that handwritten cards still hold value even in today’s digital age mostly because of the fact that everything today is so digital and is shared through the internet. If someone took the time of day to physically write you a letter it would show that they truly care for you because it is so rarely heard of these days. Of course someone can write what they feel through a text message, but when it is done through pencil and paper you can really see the meaning of their words by the way their handwriting is shown. They’re handwriting will show where their emotions peaked, for instance if their handwriting becomes a bit sloppy and quickly paced then it will show their excitement. You can also see their thought process while reading and see moments where they scribbled things out or changed directions and things like that really add sentimental value to the card because you can tell that what you’re writing is raw endearment. Seeing their mistakes and things like that really adds uniqueness to the card whereas if it was through the internet it would be a plain font that has no character or story behind it. Handwritten card can pass on the message the writer is trying to portray in a deeper manner that will really impact the reader. Ultimately, a handwritten letter still holds a lot of value because of the fact that in today’s age everything is so digital, it is a break from the internet and something physical you can hold onto and appreciate dearly.
