Quote: “We do not have the right to sit and feel hopeless. There is too much work to be done.”
This quote stood out to me as I read it, and I feel like I can apply the quote to my own life. When you are sitting around all the time, feeling like giving up, it’s not helping your obstacle at all. The quote is saying that you need to get up, and put the work in if you want to get something done. I can relate this to myself because of how much procrastinating I do, resulting in me getting stressed out, when it’s my fault in the first place for not doing my work on time. With the quote saying “we do not have the right,” I am applying it to myself, saying I have no right to get stressed and upset when I have the opportunity to do my work on time, rather wanting to procrastinate instead. I should be getting ahead on most of my work, as this would solve my issue of being so overwhelmed with everything.
Going back to the quote, it’s trying to explain that you aren’t ever going to get anything done in your life by feeling sorry for yourself. By keeping on top of my work, and not waiting until the last minute to do larger assignments, it would likely make my life a lot more organized. Since I often get overwhelmed with all my classes, this quote has reminded me to work on stopping procrastinating, and to start taking my schoolwork more seriously, especially being so close to graduating.
