JOY- A perfect representation of the emotion of joy in my head is the well-known singer/songwriter and actor Harry Styles. Harry Styles has always been known for his famous motto “treat people with kindness”, it’s his brand and motto. He is constantly interpretting kindness through and without his music and even his characters that he plays. Many of his songs portray ideas of happiness, healing, and self love as well as making someone else happy. If that’s not pure joy to anyone I don’t know what is. To further my argument, in pretty much all of his portraits from concerts to selfies, he is almost always smiling, laughing, or sharing laughs with fans.

SADNESS- The emotion of sadness for me, would most definitely be represented by the well-known and loved comedic actor Robin Williams. Robin Williams was a man of comedy and laughs, but under that smile was a world that no one could’ve ever even thought of for Williams. He had many internal struggles that no fan of his would have known unless they truly knew him as a person. He used comedy, laughs, and jokes to cope with these overwhelming emotions of sadness and displayed himself as a happy person when really he wasn’t. Truly enough, I can relate to Williams because of this. I seem to be a funny person on the outside but really don’t show how it really is, which is why I think Robin Williams is a great depiction of the little emotion of sadness in my head.

FEAR- My underlying emotion of fear would be well displayed as the commonly known actor Johnny Depp as his character, Edward Scissorhands. For instance, Edward Scissorhands in the movie, was placed into a new environment that he had never seen or known before causing a deep fear of the unknown and not fitting in. Throughout the movie, Edward always tried to be like the “normal” people but constantly made mistakes creating another fear of failure. He was known to shy away and was insecure of how different he was from the other people in his town that he eventually ran away because he was scared of the people and how they treated him. In this case, for me, I have always been one to be afraid of failure, disappointment, and not fitting in. So I too, can relate to the character of Edward Scissorhands and think he would be a really well fit for the emotion of fear in my head.

Why Adam Sandler Gets Angry & Yells In So Many Movies

Cameron Diaz: I was terrified of Annie role | Entertainment News,The Indian Express

ANGER- Anger in my head, would be best represented by the notable comedic actor Adam Sandler. Adam Sandler is always known for his role in comedy but also how his character in every movie he plays in is displayed. He comes off as short tempered in many of his movies, especially Grown Ups. As a father, he blows his top a little when getting impatient with his kids, wife, or even friends. He is shown to also yell a lot throughout his movies and takes it out on the people around him. I have actually recently been in a place where I have gotten easily upset by something that set me off and taken it out on my friends, family, or even classmates in the same ways that many of Adam Sandlers characters do.

DISGUST- Cameron Diaz, a familiar and prominent actress, is probably the best person to choose to be the emotion of disgust for me in my head. Cameron Diaz’s characters are almost always either a mother, babysitter, nanny, caretaker, etc. Meaning she has to do a lot of things many people would rather not. Especially in the movie Annie, she is the foster caretaker for many orphan girls and has to deal with uncleanliness and the attitudes of many little girls. She always seems to be bothered by her surroundings and disgusted in the ways others do things and is very comedic but not always in the nicest way. When I get disgusted by something, I always make a face to show that and Cameron Diaz is well-known for the “disgust” face which is why I can relate back to her as my emotion of disgust.

  1. I really liked the clever use of Johnny Depp's performance as Edward Scissorhands as a prime example for fear. I also like how you personally empathized with Edward Scissorhands based on how he reacts to being in an unfamiliar environment as well.
