I am From
Peyton Miller
I am from small homes with brick walls
and wooden playgrounds that come with many splinters
and china huts taller than three of me combined.
I am from falling off 6 foot ladders and chasing
cats away due to irrational fear.
I am from pink princess beds with curtains
and playing starfall all night on my own.
I am from sweet nicknames like cupcake or P to
not so fun ones like dora or shorty.
I am from baseball player trophies that don’t have ponytails
and stuffed bunnies with no faces
I am from porcelain roses from grandma to shattered ones on the loft floor.
I am from collections of silly bandz and build-a-bears every year on my birthday.
I am from the warm taste and sweet aroma of
herbal sleepy time teas and the awakening of a small
dog licking my face.
I am from running through open
fields and chasing the jack rabbits.
I am from ugly bangs and bobcuts that came with nicknames.
I am from spongebobs annoying laugh and the pat claps of little einsteins every
morning before school.
I am from many uh-ohs from spraining fingers and
ankles to breaking tailbones and scooter handles
through the neck.
I am from grandmas telling many
stories that I will never forget.
I am from the Junie B. Jones book series and shows like Max and Ruby.
I am from growing up in church with stories produced by vegetables..
From the good of my childhood i am also from bullying growing up and learning
hard truths and losses that display many emotions.
Most importantly I am From growing from my mistakes, decisions, and injuries
to pursue so much more.
